Although the auroras I shoot are seen entirely over Cold Lake and the surrounding Lakeland, I rarely have the opportunity to shoot directly over Cold Lake. There is more light pollution to contend with for one thing and the 30 minute or more drive to a good location could mean the difference between catching the Lady Dance or simply an evening drive. This night I was visiting friends at the English Bay campsite when the lady decided to dance. I had brought my gear just in case as the data looked rather interesting and it made for a cozy photo.
